Join us for Deerwood Ranch Wild Horses – Open Day 2026!
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Deerwood Ranch will once again open the gates for a fun-filled day celebrating Wyoming’s wild horses and ranch life in the beautiful Centennial Valley. This free public event welcomes families, photographers, horse lovers, and anyone looking to enjoy a unique Wyoming experience. No reservations are required.
Guests can enjoy tractor and hayride tours through the ranch to view more than 350 BLM wild horses, with tours running throughout the day beginning at 9:30 a.m. Representatives from the BLM will be on site to answer questions and assist with mustang adoption information and approvals. More than 20 non-gentled BLM mustangs will also be available for adoption.
Enjoy lunch from Alibi Wood Fired Pizza, coffee from Quick Draw Coffee Co., and browse a variety of local vendors offering handmade goods, photography, jewelry, western décor, knives, hides, apparel, and more in a relaxed farmers market atmosphere.
Visitors can also meet Mustang owners and trainers who will be sharing their personal adoption stories and experiences working with these incredible horses. Horse-and-wagon rides from the parking area will again be provided by the Colorado Wagon Train in honor of the Sean Herring Memorial Foundation.
Come spend the day enjoying fresh mountain air, beautiful scenery, and a little taste of Wyoming ranch life.

DEERWOOD RANCH WILD HORSES OPEN DAY

LOOKING BACK AT OUR SEPTEMBER 2025 OPEN DAY
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, our hay barn and pastures came alive with visitors from near and far. Families, friends, and fellow horse lovers joined us for free pickup and tractor rides to see more than 350 BLM wild horses, delicious smoked-meat sandwiches from Dave Herring (benefiting the Shawn Herring Memorial Foundation), and a vibrant fall market of local vendors.
The BLM team helped guests learn about wild horse care and even approved adoptions on the spot, while a few adopted Mustangs from Rocket G Ranch in Colorado showed just how far patience and everyday dedication can take these amazing animals.
From the first morning tour to the last bite of lunch, you filled the ranch with kindness, curiosity, and Wyoming spirit. Thank you to every visitor, vendor, volunteer, and driver who made the day possible.
