About
Located in the picturesque Centennial Valley of Wyoming, Deerwood Ranch is home to over 350 wild Wyoming mustangs, gathered by the BLM as part of their land management operations. As the very first BLM Certified Wild Horse EcoSanctuary on private land in the entire United States, we're proud to provide a safe haven for these majestic creatures.
Operated by Rich & Jana Wilson, Deerwood Ranch offers guided tours by appointment only, providing visitors with the opportunity to witness these incredible animals in their natural habitat. To book a tour, simply visit our Tour Information Page and follow the instructions.
Situated on approximately 4,700 acres of Wyoming beauty, Deerwood Ranch features the Middle Fork of the Little Laramie River running through the property, offering year-round access to live running water. Abundant trees and willows provide refuge and protection, while open fields invite long runs and lazy afternoon grazing.
Conveniently located approximately 35 miles west of Laramie and south of Centennial, Deerwood Ranch is near the Snowy Range, Medicine Bow National Forest, and numerous outdoor recreation areas. Whether you're interested in hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, or simply relaxing in nature, our ranch offers endless vacation options.
